 Teacher Showcase Sites

Since 1997 I've taught countless teacher how to build their own websites using FrontPage.

From 2000 -2005, I served as the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction at East Irondequoit CSD in Rochester NY  I designed and managed the district site, and taught web design to many teachers

Instruction always began with how to use the program. But my real focus was on how to use the internet to extend teaching and learning beyond the classroom.

I’ve given up hosting links to all the teachers I’ve taught web design. Instead, I focus in on a few showcases of what you can do with the web.

Since 2003, St. John Fisher College and the East Irondequoit Middle School have teamed on partnership program for College teacher-candidates.  The goal of this partnership opportunity is to provide the teacher-candidate with real-life experience relative to the integration of instructional technology tools and techniques into the delivery of educational discipline content.

\ At East Irondequoit, teachers target instruction to student mastery of these higher level thinking skills. This section showcases samples of integrated technology projects that East Irondequoit teachers have created.

East Irondequoit CSD provides web design training and server access for interested faculty and staff so they can use our district site to support their classroom, team or project.  Our web design training course provides teachers the technical skills and informational theory to design and maintain instructional web sites. Teachers who have competed the course are asked to agree to our web policy on posting to our internet site. Teachers are then given their own unique password and user ID which allows them to post directly to their own folder on the district site.
