The Monroe County School-Business Partnership
includes schools, higher education, labor, business, parents, and community
based organizations. Established in 1994 as part of the National School-to-Work
Initiative, the partnership provides new opportunities for young people by
linking classroom knowledge with career experiences. Activities include Junior
Achievement, Explorer Programs, Career Internships, Tech Prep Programs, youth
apprenticeships, job shadowing, field trips/tours, career speakers, community
service, mentoring, and work-based learning programs.
