For this observational study, I put the population that I was studying into one of two categories: gun owner, or non-gun owner.  Seventeen gun-owners, and fifty-eight non-gun owners responded to my survey which consisted of seven questions, and an opportunity for free response. One of my objectives in conducting this survey was to determine how people felt about the second amendment, and I did this in three ways.   First, I asked each person if s/he were in favor of gun control in some form.   Second, I asked each subject if s/he felt that the second amendment granted a person the right to carry a concealed weapon.  I tested the issue a third time by asking him/her if s/he felt that the second amendment grants a person the right to purchase a gun without a background check.  I felt that asking these three similar questions were necessary in order to determine peoples' stance on the issue of gun control in general, versus how people feel about concealed weapons and restrictions regarding access to them, a seeming infringement on the second amendment according to some.
